CM Punk Off WWE’s TLC PPV

WWE.com reports that CM Punk’s surgery was a scope of his left knee; the site says that Dr. Andrews “successfully trimmed a cartilage tear.”
WWE physician Chris Amann commented, saying, “CM Punk underwent knee surgery today to remove a piece of torn meniscus that had locked up his knee. The surgery, performed by Dr. James Andrews, went smoothly and CM Punk is expected to make a full recovery.”
In addition, several sources report that Punk will be healthy enough to work the Royal Rumble and will still likely face The Rock, though he will is “questionable at best” for TLC in two weeks.
WWE officials have stated that there is no firm time line for CM Punk’s return because no estimate can be made until he starts rehab on the knee. Company officials feel that there should be a fairly good estimate on his return date within a few days.
UPDATE: According to sources,, CM Punk was willing to work the TLC PPV but WWE doesn’t want him to push his return ahead of schedule There was fear that by doing that, they could be putting the Royal Rumble match against Tthe Rock in jeopardy. At this time, he is only expected to be out for a few weeks. Paul Heyman and Punk are scheduled to remain onWWE TV while he is recovering.
UPDATE x 2: It was announced at Tuesday night’s WWE Smackdowntapings that CM Punk will not wrestle at the TLC PPV. A new match was announced for the PPV, which will be Ryback, Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. The Shield.

Ex-WWE Talent vs. King Mo Possible?
Jeremiah Riggs, who competed in the revival of WWE’s Tough Enough, says that he will be resuming his MMA career shortly. Riggs noted on Twitter that he is still signed with Bellator, who he fought for in May, and added the following:
Healing up about to get back in there early next year!
That sets Riggs up as a possible TNA signee, as his wrestling experience could be used to cross-promote TNA and Bellator much like King Mo is.
New DLC Content for WWE ’13 Now Available
The December DLC update for THQ’s WWE ’13 is available now, and includes several new WWE Superstars and Divas as playable characters. They include Tensai, Ryback, Drew McIntyre and Yoshi Tatsu are this month’s available Superstars, while Natalya and AJ Lee are the new Divas included.
Also available are Undertaker’s Ministry of Darkness attire, as well as ten new Championship title belts.
The final DLC pack will roll out in January and will include Brian Pillman, Antonio Cesaro, Terry Funk (as Chainsaw Charlie), Damien Sandow, the Usos and Layla.
Ric Flair’s Lawyer Responds To Ex-Wife
In an update to their previous story, TMZ reports that Ric Flair’s lawyer has responded to Jacqueline Fliehr’s claims that he cheated on her and didn’t come through on a separation agreement.
The lawyer said Flair “denies the claims, contends there was marital and other misconduct on her part, and looks forward to these issues being resolved in court.”

In addition to allegedly owing soon-to-be ex-wife Jacqueline Fliehr thousands of dollars related to a separation agreement, Ric Flair reportedly owes more than $250k in unpaid taxes in North Carolina.
According to the Charlotte Observer covering Flair’s latest legal wrangling with Jacqueline, Flair has a federal tax lien for $237,436 in unpaid taxes, interest, and penalties and owes the North Carolina Department of Revenue $41,358 in taxes, penalty, and interest.
